The Permit Digest

Every week, cities and counties publish the building permits they just approved — who's building what, where, and which contractor is on it. It's public, but buried. We pull it, clean it, and email you just the projects that fit your towns and your trade.

FILTERED TO YOU

Your towns, your trade

Pick your towns, project types, and minimum project size once. Change them any time — changes apply to your next edition.

YOUR PACE

Monthly, weekly, or daily

One digest, three delivery speeds — pick how fresh you need it. See pricing.

BUSINESS DATA ONLY

No homeowner data. Ever.

We publish what the permits publish: businesses, projects, job-site addresses. We never buy or attach homeowner phone numbers or emails.

Try the data — historic sample

This is an old week (June 15–21, 2026), shown on purpose: the format and labels are exactly what subscribers get, but the current week's data is for subscribers.

Pricing — pay for speed

Same digest, three delivery speeds. Every plan includes your choice of towns and project types, and you can change plans or cancel any time.

MONTHLY

Monthly Summary — $19/mo

One roundup email a month. Best for keeping a general eye on your market at the lowest cost.

WEEKLY · MOST POPULAR

Weekly Digest — $39/mo

Your filtered edition every Monday morning — fresh enough to act on, at the price most subscribers choose.

DAILY

Daily Alerts — $99/mo

New permits on every business day, for businesses that call first and win on speed. Offered only where a source actually publishes daily — starting with Chicago.

Online signup isn't open yet — this preview takes no orders. Daily delivery is never sold for an area whose permits don't publish daily.

Coverage — what it means

"Coverage" is the set of permit offices whose newly issued permits can appear in your digest. If an office is covered, its projects can be matched to your towns and your trade. If it isn't covered yet, those projects won't appear — and we never fill the gap with guesses from neighboring areas.

WHY IT VARIES

There's no single permit system

Every city, village, and county issues its own building permits and publishes them its own way. Some publish clean, searchable records; others publish little or nothing in a form anyone can use reliably.

WHY IT GROWS SLOWLY

Added office by office

An office joins the coverage list only after its records have been collected accurately and repeatedly — week after week, not just once. A town gets added when the data holds up, not when it would look good on a map.

THE DETAILS

Town-by-town list, on its own page

The full list of covered offices — named individually, dated, and kept current — gets its own page before signup opens. This homepage stays the overview.

How our data works — the short version

Every row, from every town, arrives in the same columns. When a permit office doesn't publish something, the row says so in plain words — never a silent blank, never a fake zero. The permit office's original wording stays next to our plain-English summary, so you can always check us.
